Hehe

I was adjusting my baseball cap
and on the street a diplomat
stepped out of the black sedan
and with national flags in hand

to settle the settler's demand
a filigree broach on his double breasted
& before the finalized serpent suggested,

an angel came from the cul-de-sac
and spoke forth a mist:
"The greatest ought that ever was,
the golden rule and golden break
is obeyed not without just cause
is broken not without a wake
to past lives and the buried self
and Mastercards cut-up on the shelf
and floundered supper time apropos
a throne of empty cartons of dos-i-dos
I wandered through the Isis canyon
in search of a noble and brash companion
like syrup on the khaki groovy,
and first-date vegan rust smoothie
Towards what do you progress?
an ultramonist mega-death?"

Stunned and stumbling the diplomat cried
"I believe that I've done died!
I say my prayers before the dawn
I'm grateful for what is going on
I'm grateful for what is going on"

the receiving party was dismayed
at the indecency displayed
the diplomat was hurried in
as the diplomat's driver winked and grinned

My Tude

Nike and Nicky
On the palisade
Neon scribble napkin
Friend tier three

Entire nights with ivy
In pots and the wind
Jiggling the leaves
With a snarky breeze

Monkey bar ceiling beams
It's where the hippies slept
My fake money spills from
The hoodie pocket

Tell your heart to fear nothing
A modest blouse in the Tennessean box
Then a pedestrian struck by
A goddamned Pontiac Aztec on Broadway

I sprint to the new central precinct
Like a TV show desperate person

I'm a bluster of red goretex
"Can I help you"
"A woman has been struck by a burnt orange Aztec"
"Excuse me?"
"On the fucking corner of broad and fifth"

The blunt was ripe
And the Frist was splintering
Under the weight of the Ingram family cousins
And the swoopy hair
And the casual blazers
I knew Jesus was just outside
Huddled in the corner by a spineless first date

I've been looking for Jesus my whole goddamned life
